Library Closed Until Further Notice
In response to recent public health recommendations and in compliance with the Governor's shelter at home order, the Library will be closed until further notice. All library programs have been canceled through June 1. The April 8 Library Board Meeting has been postponed. See the notice here: http://www.acornlibrary.org/files/board/Notice%20of%20Meeting%20Postpone...
All due dates for books and bills have been extended. So please do not use the book drop to return your materials.
This safety measure is being taken out of an abundance of caution, not due to any known exposure.
Health experts including Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, have advocated for social distancing — isolating people and canceling gatherings — as the best solution to avoid the rapid spread of this infectious disease. Slowing the rate of infection will help “flatten the curve” of new COVID-19 cases and keep the healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed.
We regret any inconvenience this causes. Please check our Facebook page or website for any updates.
