Reference Services
The Reference Department is the information center of the Library. Professional reference librarians are available to assist you in finding information to meet your personal, educational, or business interests.
We are happy to answer brief reference questions by telephone. Extensive research, however, requires that you come to the Library where we can guide you to likely sources of information.
You can also email our reference librarian your question at reference@acornlibrary.org.
Online Databases
The Acorn Public Library subscribes to a variety of databases which are available both at the library and remotely. To use our databases outside the library, you will need your Acorn Public Library card number.
Please see our databases page to view and login to our databases.
Foundation Center
The Acorn Public Library is a cooperating collection site for the Foundation Center. We have a collection of books from the Foundation Center as well as an electronic version of the Foundation Center Collection. For more information on our collection call or e-mail the Reference Department. To find out more about the Foundation Center, visit http://www.foundationcenter.org/ or you can click the picture below to contact a professional librarian from the Foundation Center that can answer your questions about foundations, philanthropy, and fundraising research.
